I decided to clean up the appearance of my car today (since it's out of comission till monday) and i took of the crankshaft pulley that separated. Also got rid of the hid balasts and crap. I also reinstalled my rear mud flaps (no pic)

Check out the intercooler, looks fricken brand new, took off the license plate bracket too, repainted the mesh, and had to change out the headlights to stock again, cause the other ones got smashed by rocks.

I went ahead and painted up the heat sheild, and painted the engine lettering, and got rid of the hid wire clutter.

Great job on the clean up & Paint lancerevo! I'm going to follow your example and do alot of the same with cleanup and paint in my engine bay & FMIC.

One thing I'd reccomend though: Lose some of the tacky stickers ~_~. And maybe repaint the mitsu logo from white back to eiter OEM red, or black? Just my suggestions, but everyone has their own taste :)

Thumbs up.

What paint did you use for the heat shield? I'm worried about what paint to use as it tends to get extremely hot. What type of paint for the cover?

Thanks

hey mate you can get engine paint from autobarn that can withstand heat. i painted my heatshield black with that stuff and was all good...until the engine fire burnt it all off  lol but completly unrelated!

Heat sheild, alluminum high heat 1200 fareihiet. I used touch up paint for the mitsu logo and 16 valve, and black nail polish for the rest.

Great, thanks. Is the high heat the same stuff you used for the FMIC & piping?

my piping is already metallic in colour, but yes, i used it on the heat sheild and the intercooler. High heat paint can be used on stuff that doesn't require high heat paint, just does'nt work in visa-versa.
