At Christmas time at my garage/driveway/street(AND empty neighbors driveway :roll: :lol: ) we had:

3 GSR's
2 VR4's
1 lancer gli
1 magna
1 BMW (old school)
1 camry wagon
1 excel

There was probably more but cant remember :roll: :p :lol:

Last year between us we did:

6 Clutch changes (2 broken gearboxes :p )
2 turbo upgrades (1 turbo stuffed)
2 engine conversions (1 rod through block 4g93t)
2 ECU upgrades (Both adaptronic)
2 evo intake/ecu/injector/afm installs
2 battery to boot conversions
1 intercooler upgrade
1 vr4 spring/shocks change (including putting magna springs/shocks on a vr4)
Various stereo upgrades
25+ oil/filter changes
various drivetrain fluid changes

90% in my garage :p

The list goes on..... :lol:

Consumed:

10+ cartons of 440ml woodies
7 or so bottles of home brew bourbon
6+ cartons of beer
4 cartons of rum
few bottles of home brew ginger beer(the alcoholic kind :twisted: )
Countless,countless boxs of pizza, BBQ's and of course car movies,drags,cruises,sprints,hillclimbs and many a hang over was had :p

So T4G Townsville is alive and kicking! :D


Oh yeah we LOVE mitsubishis and wouldnt swap them for subies any day( a little off topic ranting :lol: )
 
Subies are to weak for my likeing.. I drive 5L Commonwhore at the moment and love it! RWD and Torque is good but id still have to have a turbo Mistu of some sort in the garage. So id say im a Mitsu fan! 8)

At least with your evos and galants there isn't one paked on every corner. GTRs and WRXs are waay too common.
 
Heaps of gtrs in hobart too. Skylines seem almost as common as commodores!

Anyways back to the topic my gf has just bought a 95 wrx wagon..... with 19s.......not sure how i feel about this yet lol.
 
Luv my mitsubishi's but i could have any car :D 1st preference with the diamonds though 8)

New euro shit is the bomb.
expensive to repair though.
Hang on..Ill rephrase.
Probably the same price as a VR4 to fix.

I bought my VR4 because i have a soft spot for them and it was tooo cheap to ignore.

Anyway,whenever someone asks if they should buy one..i tell them this.

"If you buy a VR4 or E 1-3,be prepared to rebuild the gearbox at some stage,not that they are shitheap gearboxes,but at some stage you WILL need to rebuild it,ie..dont winge when it f*cks up,expect it".

Having said that.
A properly rebuilt box with the right oils and maintenance,(including shifter link cables) will hold up to almost anything,even ten sec passes.

But how many people that you buy a VR4 of have gone the whole hog on the drivetrain.
not many...

unless they have to.

But a VR4 is different..and rare,and enjoyable...especially when people pull aside you in confused state as to why they havent seen one of them lancers before...or even better,why that magna goes so hard.
