Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has actually tackled using an EVO3 engine loom and butting it up to the original GSR Chassis loom..

I know there are a couple of differences in the looms, but im tipping not anything major as an Evo3 ECU is still able to perform normal with a GSR engine loom..

Any thoughts/theory's on this??

for a start antilag set up on e3, intercooler spray system, climate control system, just for a start...

you can do evo engine swap and extend the gsr alt wires which is the easiest way to do a 63 swap in a gsr, but you miss out on the climate, anti if you can be assed setting it up, IC spray ect...also evo2 and 3 looms are OBDII which you cant data log with MMCD gsr and evo 1 are OBD! which is data loggable.

well you can, just not with MMCD on a palm pilot (which is OBDI)

can always use EVO scan software on a laptop ;)

thanks for the replies..

So if i was to throw in an evo3 loom in place of a gsr engine loom and not bother about the anti lag, climate etc etc which liberoz has mentioned then it would still work as per normal?.. or is there something that needs to be done for this to work??

Oh.. if anyones trying to figure out why id be doing it this way and not keeping the GSR engine loom, its because im actually throwing a 93t into my GLXi wagon and only have access to an E3 engine loom. Im still going to run standard GSR ECU, inj, AFM.

Any other input would be great!

Also, if anyone has a 4g93t GSR ECU pinouts or diagram, that would help.. it seems as though every ecu pinout is for an EVO.....

There's a 4G63T into GSR tech sticky you may find helpful without the need for using an EVO 3 engine loom. On the other hand if you are dead set on using an EVO engine loom then why not grab an EVO interior loom whilst youre at it and go for the climate control as well. Simple stuff to do, just that you have to basically rip out your front seats, console and dash to fit it in.

Hey Rob,

been a while mate.. hows things been?..

as for the 63t into GSR tech sticky, it really doesnt help with what i need to do.. im basically going to 93t my daily wagon and utilise an Evo3 engine loom as thats what i have lying around - hence my question about the differences in the Evo3 engine loom to GSR/Glxi.

I think i might just throw it all in and see what happens.. seems as though not too many people have tackled this route so may as well give it ago!.. cant be too hard.

Cheers,
Chris
