Howdy fellow 4g's ive tired searching for this with no luch but if there is already a thread about just post the link.
I wanted to know if anyone knew of a place were i could do some off road driving? hopfully there are some places around or near sydney area that isnt too far. just after some dirt roads or even dirt bike tracks that are good to drive on and get some better driving skills.
Thanks in advance.

Are there car clubs that do motorkhana days? You'll learn tonnes more doing those sort of events than you will beating around on public roads.

Get intouch with some of the NSW rally clubs, many would run Khanacross events which are perfect for what you want.

Any public dirt roads are not the place to learn, you will learn alot more in a safe controlled environment!

This should get you started... http://www.nswrally.com/index.php?option=com_weblinks&catid=17&Itemid=23

Or ask on bmsc.com.au/forums

cool thanks for the info guys, i only suggested public roads cos i didnt think there was any amatuer events or anything like that.
appriacate the help :)

yeah all good :)

All you will need to enter a khanacross is a basic cams licence (about $80) a helmet (just a basic motorbike helmet is fine, and long sleeves and pants. Some events might also need you to have a fire extinguisher, but just the type from supercheap is fine. entry fees are ususally somwhere between $50 and $80, but often they will have come and try type events which are even cheaper and easier.

get out there and I promise you will love it.

cheers
