I have no idea what they are used for hehe... how much($) do rear fogs usually run for?
btw i dont understand why you guys hook them up to the dimmer switch, do you guys control the brightness as well?
1. yeap DOUGMO is right. They use 21w globes which are the same brightness as brake lights. They are there so people behind you can see your car there in the fog. A lot easier to see than parker lights Im sure.
2. How much are they. Generally anywhere from $150-$200 for a pair

3. No we don't control the brightness, and its not really connected to the dimmer itself.
Basically the dimmer wiring has three wires which plug into the actual dimmer controller itself.
Live power from the light circuit (basically when parkers or headlights are turned on this wire gets power) ,
the second wire is also live, but this wire goes back to whatever accessories it connects to such as the dash, and dims them based on what your dimmer is set to (from what I understand)
and the third wire is a ground wire.
So basically if you connect the fog lights to the live power source, they will come on with your parkers or headlights...
OR if you connect an Evo foglight switch to obtain its power from that wire you'll need to have both
a) the parkers / headlights on
and
b) the foglight switch pushed in to activate them.
basically the power source from the dimmer wiring area is the same as using any illumination wiring
