hey guys n girls just a little question... do evos have fuel CUT? like if it was to do 14psi ok, then u tryed for 22psi, would it do a fuel cut, n wont allow u to do it... or it will do 22psi but will run lean if u dont have the correct fuel system?

cause i remember for my gsr n my skyline... 12 psi was ok, but when i went to 16psi.... it would feel like i hit a brick wall cause that was fuel cut saves damaging the engine.... r evo 2's the same?

I think they do. The standard ecu in my evo 1 had a mines chip to over ride the speed cut, and i am sure it done something to the fuel aswell. Not 100% sure tho. It may have overiden a boost cut. With the chip in i could run 22psi with an eboost and didn't seem to cause any dramas. But with hks evc, i could only go to 18psi. Boost seemed to hit a bit harder with the hks controler.

oh ok so it will do what my gsr did... thats good then :D i just wanted to make sure i wouldnt run lean without the car letting me know like all my other cars did...

then that shocks me in a way... i am upgrading my fuel system, but atm i got stock injectors n rail, n reg... the vacc hose come off the turbo n it was free boosting... at one stage got way up to 1.6bar but i noticed straight away... but how ever it didnt boost cut on me? i thought stock fuel system wouldnt handle that

u can do what ever u want to ur fuel system but fuel and boost cut remains the same .....u caN over ride it and change it with an aftermarket ecu

All mitsu's have fuel and boost cut .

Also you can remove all these with a chipped ecu all done in the eprom reflashing, so there's no need for spending big $ on an after market ecu ;)
