Driver side window stuck

The GSR's window, right after my last exam got stuck and now wont come back up.
Funny thing is I thought that it was the switchs playing up (BTW electric windows if that helps) but all other three windows went up and down as usual but for some reason the frikkn driver side jammed up and wont go back up .. and the switch feels funny compared to the others now.
Thinking of going down to the wreckers and buying a new switch panel..
Thing is alot of the time the CC Lancers in the wreckers are GL's and non electrics.

What do people think?

yep exact same thing happened to me in Rye. so my window was like that for 6 days! lol.
this is a common problem for GSR's
if you take off your switch, its got 4 little teeth on the underside of it that latch on to the electronic part to make it go up and down.
one of your little teeth might have snapped off.

oh btw.
i think its only from GSR's/Evo's that you can get the switches from.
but lemme know how you go, because im after one of the four switches too, which you might need also.
maybe we could go halvies in one.

You can get the same switches from any lancer that came with elect. windows ie GLxi ect.

BTW 2 of the most common issues is the switch itself and the other the plastic piece on the window wire pulley breaking.

Have you pulled off the door card and taken a look inside at your mechanical window mechs??

Same as Dean opened it up last night and the driver side switch snapped!! well one of the teeth which was enough for it not to work.
So yeah Dean I'll be chasing a driver side one maybe I'll go wrecker hopping and if theres two or more I'll grab one for ya.
But yeh the rest of the control panel is fine just this one teeth off the switch.

yeh any one of those 4 switches off the drivers side panel will work.
unfortunately a switch off one of the other doors wont work.
so if you find a drivers panel grab any one of the switches for me and ill fix you up for it.

mitsi swithces are a POS. dont know how they passed the design process, those teeth are fragile as!

As stated above, you can use the buttons from other lancers. Only CC 'Executive' Lancers and the 'CE' wagon (late 90's cc wagon) came out with power windows.

You can also try proton switches, i think they are exactly the same.

I am in need of a driver's side power window module, and cant seem to find one bloody anywhere!!!

I certainly do not want to fork out over $300 for a brand new OEM one....

Does anyone know if any of the Proton drivers side power window modules fit the CC GSR?

most likely its just the actual switch thats snapped so don't fork out $300 on the whole unit.

I rang CVAP to see if they had any modules as they were doing them for $125, but they were out of stock. Haven't had much luck anywhere else either. On my module, it is only the driver's window that does not work, all other 3 windows can be operated fine from the driver's module. I guess that would be the teeth then off the switch.

we all have the same problem.
we should go a three way and each take one of the buttons.
