Hi guys I have just rebuilt my engine and am at the stage where it's time to put her back in. I was wondering what is the easiest way to get it in and if you prefer gearbox and transfer case on or off when it goes in ?
Also where is the best place to hook the engine crane chains on to ?

When I took it out it had no head on it ! So I just used the head stud holes.

Any help greatly appreciated

Perfect I knew you had the answers for me Bazeng !!!!! You put the inlet manifold on first also? I cant wait to get my first vr4 running!!!!!!

On another note Bazeng , I have brought an evo 3 manifold turbo (16g) and injectors for it. So apart from having the ecu chipped would I need to run a bigger fuel pump to start with and AFM? I picked up a surge tank and two bosch 044s also (i know overkill for now) but they were a good deal and I was thinking down the track when I can afford a bigger turbo. Maybe I should put in one of the 044's?

Thanks heaps

044s (even one) are mega overkill for a 16g

When I put my engine in I usually have it pretty much fully assembled minus the power steering pump.
I even have the transfer case on, but as Baz said it is a bit easier without it.
Inlet,exhaust manifold etc........

You do need to tilt it on a fair angle to get it in though, ideally with one of the adjustable lift point thingo's.
