DVD headunit

Hey guys, I've bought a eBay double din DVD player/ gps/ tv/ radio and all that crap( I know it was a bad idea), anyway it's a Peice of poo and I was just wondering if anyone would know how to like hack into it and get rid of all the stuff on it except for the gps and then install windows media player and stuff because it has windows ce on it to run the gps so if you could get into the system would you be able to do that?

It's not really my thing but it would be interesting if it worked, not gonna be to upset if it didn't cause I have another headunit I can use

i got one as well and its not too bad. did have an issue with igo9 deleting itself. it is running 2 amps fine and wired to play dvds on the go.
will be interesting to see how you go with this

Yea it's not too bad, running the same stuff as yours it's just the sd card Player and the iPod connection that give me the *****, the interface for those are not thought out so well lol that's why I want to see if I can put media player on

oh, ok. i never used them bits. i have a dl-dvd lull of music videos. i just use that and the mrs has a pink dvd on high rotation. i was thinking of putting a hard drive on the usb input. 40gb would be fine i think.

If u get media player running, u could then use the fullscreen option to have a cool screensaver thing too

i watched a vid of someone hacking a gps that ran windows ce and then they used paint and played solitaire or something, it looked like a asian gps or a foreign one anyways

Hey guys,

Ok so I've downloaded a thing from a website I'll post up later or if you give me you email I can send it to you

Anyway you put it on the gps sd card then put it in then select the exe as the map directory then open the gps and it'll open windows

Problem 1 it's in ******* Chinese or something ( can the language be changed )
Problem 2 there is no start or task bar so you can only browse through explorer in the folders, not get to any programs

If anyone has any clues how to change the language or get the start bar up that would be sweet

I can crash my Chinese made all in one gps/dvd/tv/radio/cd thing I bought for my grand vitara. Telling it to start the gps and then pulling the sd card out while it's loading, it then brings up the std windows interface in english.

Might be worth a shot?
