EARLY model LANCER question (how to identify)

hey guys

i know some of you's know alot about those CYBORGs etc..
now my question,

how do i identify these cars??

i've seen quite a few, do they have different rear lights?
i've also seen one with a 3 piece type spoiler (like the amg's)

pics would be appreciated!

Well, I kinda do, ive owned to C73a sedans in my time, 1 being a grey '88 and the other a white '90.

The first giveaway that its JDM will be the clear indicators.

The GSR lancers come in both FWD and 4WD, and also have an RS version. The best way to identify the 4WD's is a little sticker in the rear window, saying 'full time 4wd center VCU' (Viscous Coupling Unit i think)
The front grille also has the same badge.

The interior is Recaro style, with the GSR's door trim and seat trim being a greyish colour with kinda plain pattern.

If you look at the front of the car, the little vent on the left of the front bumper has the stock I/C behind it. All 4G61t cyborgs/GSR's have this bumper, its identical to the locally produced GSR's too.

as for the wrap around spoiler, well, ive only ever seen them on the facelift model GSR's, they also have a better bodykit, W5M33 3.545, both a la E39a VR4.

Tail lights, well I dont pay much attention to GSR's ones, im a 'borg man myself 8)

so the 2wd and 4wd have same body trims?

no, there are other variants with the spoiler, like this one, lancer 'SR' 1600 DOHC, one down from the GSR.

I havent seen a FWD facelift GSR before, im pretty sure theyre all 4WD.

The black bits on the top of the rear lights indicate that theyre turbo

As of Vr4's that tickle my fancy being available yet...

Im having thoughts of a Cyborg(AWD from yahoomotorsport) although i am unaware of the process regarding a 4G63 conversion.... Have been pretty lazy regarding this seeing i havent looked far into this as my primary interests have been in the vr4's...

Basically i just need basic info about a conversion from a Jspec vr4 front cut to be put into an '88 AWD borg... also complience issues...
Im not going out of my way looking for shit about this conversion just looking for a basic idea of price/time/difficulty...

Note of complience and registration difficulties...
