there were some warnings up a while ago about some of those ebay sellers. I dunno if that was one of them, but ultraracing even had a list on their website of non-genuine sellers, selling people crap/not their products.... Just something to look out for.
From what I read here about the lancer ones is that when you jack them up under the Apillar the fender bars take a heap of that flex out.
They make up for the factory evo bracing that the lancers don't have.
I don't know how flexy the vr4 are

Ive used the fender braces in a few lancers now...good results but you need to stiffen the section of the chassis rail where they bolt up to achieve best results
I usually weld in a piece of 25 x 25 angle about 400 long. I take it right back to the fire wall and just forward of the strut tower...weld about every 100mm
It is a bitch to get it inside the rail and it isnt pretty afterwards....but it really tightens that area up when used with the fender bars
Received fender bars during the week and installed them yesterday. Pretty easy job, but definitely going to weld in some flat or angle when I get the chance just to stiffen it all up and spread the load a bit through thicker side walls.
UR's product seems to be reasonable quality, and for the price they're selling them, definitely worth buying.
