just wondering whats better and flows more out of these inlet manifolds

ECI multi (A spec)

ECI multi (evo 0)

Cyclone (J spec)

Thanks
Travis

An aspec ECI manifold will flow more brute power as its got bigger runners and more flow capacity. Blurple in NZ has run 10s on a ported ECI spec manifold.. i have afew in my garage if anyone is after one.

An ECI MULTI and a MULTI will flow good for midrange power as they have quad throttle bodies. However for brute topend and HP they arent as good as an ECI one.

turbo eci multi: smaller runners
n/a eci multi: large runners
Cyclone: adjustable runner size
aspec: usually smaller runners
Jspec: larger runners

technically on a turbo 4g63 with standard intake mani (not cyclone), the n/a eci multi the would be an up grade cause of the bigger runners

all in all from tested flow rate the Cyclone intake should be the best flowing as it has 2 runners per cyl, but the N/A intake mani shouldent be far behind.

if that helps.....

i have no bloody clue...... although the cyclone intake manis dont have egr units on them....... nor do most jap import cars of similar age....... untill they reach aust...... might be to pass EPA rules?..... any one else got an idea?

I thought the ECI Multi manifolds had more runners than the cyclone one??

LOL no they dont.. they are basically the same as the cyclone.. maybe its just a naming tag to call it an ECI Multi.. i dont know.. ive had all 3 manifolds and they 2 jap spec ones.. look identical..

isn't it:

eci multi (same as the n/a ones and aspec vr4 and us spec vr4) single large runners

cyclone - dual runners, jspec

eci.. same as the multi's...

basically there are 2 types

single runner
dual runner..

the rest is all just exterior..

yer im with barry on this one i thought theres just the jap-cyclone/evo0 type and the aspec type. dunno if the N/A version is the same as the aspec. the inlet ports are diffrent from the aussie to the jap (damnit) so yer conversions are hard.

the port sizes are the same.

* EVO 0 ECI Multi and VR4 Cyclone intakes are the same 8 runner/butterfly design.
* ECI Multi NA non turbo (4 runners) intake is what you want for outright flow. As stated, thats what people like Speedtech use on VR4s and Blurple etc.
* Intake Port sizes are the same
