Help Support 4GTuner:

I've heard that eproms cam have a security setting in them so if you try to read them it kills the chip, dose this happen with these?

Have you pressure tested the intake to check for leaks yet?

Getting the image is easy. Just download tunerpro (free) and the vr4 bin and xdf. (I can provide you with mine if you like.) From there you control a fair bit. In particular AFM comp, Inj sizes, Deadtimes.

Now thats great, but to get a better result you need to add features and datalog to get your timing/fuel tables right. Specifically I would highly recommend changing the factory "boost" gauge into a knock guage, removing fuel cut and IPW capping as well as adding Stutterbox launch control and NLTS.

Most of the above can be picked up from http://www.hwnd.org/
be aware that not all the 1G offsets match the VR4 offsets.
