Hey guys,

Having a hard time with an ECU problem.

I have two ecus.

When i use my A SPEC ecu I get a idle of 900rpm

When i use my J SPEC ecu (chipped) I get an idle of 2000rpm.

I can change ECUs and I allways get the same result. I dont have a intake leak - allready pulled the manifold off and resealed it. Put new injector seals on and also same new clamps on my intercooler piping.

Any ideas?

I thought that the base timing may be different for the two ecus? that would cause one to idle higher. The Jspec ECU may not run as much timing advance at idle ?

Mabe i should just change the idle down with the J Spec ecu --- easy anwser, strange problem.

ASpec and JSpec ECU's are not a simple swap, wires need changing.
Even then, the ASpec cannot control the cyclone of the mani, or id swao to an ASpec, so i can log wideband :(

Base idle will be the same on both ecus, base timing will also be the same for both. You will need to swap certain wires around for the J spec ecu to work properly, and then the idle should be fine.
