Okay ill start simple . Car at the moment wont start , it was cranking fine but now stopped altogether. After having a look under the bonnet noticed my alarm horn (with intergrated module) an old hornet alarm wasn't even mounted since it looks like the blew up ish. Ive attached photos etc to see but my problem is now car wont even crank. Is this an imobiliser as part of the alarm system? and if so is there a way to bridge the bloody thing cause im stuck. As well I now noticed I have a pipe leading to nowhere for some reason. Its the line under the fuel return line. Any ideas?1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg5.jpg6.jpg

Most alarm system have built in immobiliser. Also i think that tube might be for your charcoal canister.

if it is indeed an alarm imobilizer you are going to have to find the one possibly 2 circuits that were cut and disabled as part of the immobilizer install. you going to have to follow each wire from that modul plug and see if you can find where it splices in and cuts a circuit and rejoin those two wires.

Pop the cover off below the steering wheel. The alarm unit is probably there. There will be wires all coloured the same (black?) Normally the will cut the crank wire in the loom below the steering column. You can rejoin these wires and solder them but it is often easier to replace the loom from behind the ignition to the plug.
Just trace all the black wires and cut them out and rejoin any cut wires.
Often it is the crap relays on the alarm circuit board that are stuffed.

Okay some development. Found the fuel pump was pulsating as if someone threw pebbles into the tank, replaced with another walbro 255. Also chucked a jump pack on the back since the battery was taking a beating. Apart from doing a compression test and spark test tomorrow, it seems to wanna go after a good prime with fuel but wont kick... every now and then it starts for about 5 seconds and dies. This is with the immobilizer / alarm module still not connected lol

Also does your starter motor sometimes crank and sometimes won't? Or have you now solved that? On the times it doesn't crank jam a screwdriver in it to see if it'll crank. If not pull starter out and pullit apart and clean it up...grime build up and clean up surfaces for the conductors ect.

[sub]yeah ive always had that problem with the starter ay, I had 1 die on me but then I rebuilt 2 old ones I had and yeah lol . Starts some times then yeah starter motor kinds stalls lol[/sub]

When it fails try jamming the screwdriver in. See what the response is. If you get just sparks or nothing then it'll be the motor itself. If it works then I would be looking at your wiring or ignition barrel (once you work out imoboliser)
