Electric Aerial

The current aerial in my car didn't work and I bought a replacement from gumtree. This unit the motor works as you can hear it buzzing but the antenna part doesn't go up. Any ideas on how resolve this matter.

Resolve matter by inserting in sellers rectum, then removing and then swatting his face with the wet end of aerial. Then put aerial in his bin and light the whole bin on fire as you leave.

Resolved.

Cover hole left by removal of aerial with sticky tape...

There is a toothed plastic belt inside which has probably skipped or come off its track.

Or chewed teeth off plastic belt....if so its fucked

Just pulled both apart and the cord with teeth are snapped on both. Are you able to find a replacement mast for this unit?

I was close...I knew it had something to do with the plastic bit with the teeth!!

Found a replacement part for the aerial if anyone else needs one. Aerpro Aerial - Replacement Mast, Suit Mitsubishi, AP253. Worked a mint for me so now I have a spare aerial. Cheers

Where did you get it from? Pics?? What did it consist of? Just the plastic belt or the whole thing?? Price?

Picked it up from super cheap for $43. Kit comes with a new aerial which has has the cable attached. Box says it's for a magna or pajero but works perfectly on the lancer. Link attached for the item.

I have an evo 3 aerial that just needs a new mask kit. Tested the motor it works fine, if not I was just going to keep it as a spare.
