Im rebuilding my block and getting it hone and balanced

What is required for me to supply them them to have it all balanced. Thought I asked before I I get there and I'm missing something.

Besides pistons, rings, rods, crank, flywheel.

as above + front crankshaft gear with bolt, flywheel bolts, pressureplate bolts. they wouldnt normally need the actuall clutch plate.

the pressure plate will have to come of to take out the clutch plate, its only 6 bolts that hold the pressure plate
on from memory

Basically everything that rotates off the same axle as the crankshaft minus clutch disc. If you are super anal, get them to mark you bolts to the thread. They also probably balance in order: crank, add flywheel, add pressure plate, add harmonic balancer. It shouldn't latterly order though because they should be neutralising each item. Pistons are balanced with weight and so are rods. Rods are balanced by ends also. I mixed/matched my Pistons and wrist pins to get the best match possible. All fun and games!

last sentence sounds frustrating lol

thanks for the info guys.

UMR at slacks creek

Also getting the head done there as well but just waiting for parts

UMR are pretty good, i found them to be a bit expensive though, Jack Bros did my last balance and were very good and very thorough and very reasonably priced.

I just called them. They're alot friendly than umr and on qouting very thorough on pricing. Good customer service.

They've won me over.

They do Troy's motors as well Jon.

They must of price me the same as him or similar because she was explaining she was looking up from previous customers.

Also they ask for details to save to record what they quoted you.

Should the block be stripped complete for hone procedure? ie oil pump and cast iron casing?

Also how do you remove the crankshaft? (remove 10 bolts and flywheel? and should come out?) Rods and piston are already

How to take the valve guides out? I don't hammer them in-case i damage the head

Im just trying to cut down the labor cost for them to do.
