Engine Number

I dont spose theres any way some one can confirm for me if an engine number is for a 1G or 2G motor? The engine number is 4G636C1013. I dunno if the engine code tells you anything or if CAPs can tell. A guy on EBAY is claiming its a EVO III motor with a VR4 t/body but i'm pretty sure its all VR4 motor.

hi for one only serious people who want a bargain should contact me and secondly it is infact a evo111 engine evi 5 gear box but the oversized vr4 throttle boddy couse we tested both evo and vr4 throttle bodies and found that more hp came from the oversized vr4 throttle assembly but thanks any way champ

cool well not taking bids just serious cash offers and we used vr4 mounting points becouse you would have to weld new mounting points for evo mounts so for us to get the engine fitted and pass the department of transport standards we had to use vr4 mounting points as they were just a streight fit

Evo 5 gearbox hey?? :lol: Interesting concept, considering the engine is around the other way... Would make for some interesting driveshaft designs... Agree with you ZedEx. 8)

OK yes it is an evo engine with a VR4 thermostat housing, Throttle body/plenum chamber and runners. VR4 side engine mount. Big intercooler, pipes, boost controller and EVERY modification under the sun listed on the papers :shock:

Hes got the papers too.

Tdo5h turbo numbers are: 49178.014 XXX cant see the rest

The gear box is F5M211 XXXXXX

He was told some porkys i think, he seemed genuine too.....

His next project is a 2JZ into a cressida :shock:

Good to hear If it is indeed an EVO engine i eat my words... With all the VR4 **** bolted onto it what confirmed for you the fact it was an EVO motor?
