Engine rebuild info needed

Im thinking about re-building my engine to make it basically bullet-proof for racing. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can go or who I can contact to get forged piston's, piston rings rods and main bearings?

Check out some of the sponsors on T4G first. If they cant help then do a google search on pistons/rods/performance, concentrating on Aussie companies. http://www.modyourcar.com/ has eagle rods.. It all depends how strong and what brands you want!

e-bay rules. I got my brand new 1G eagle rods for $480AUD delivered to my door!

BRAND new GENUINE EVO3 turbo for $900AUD delivered to my door.

just be aware that alot of ebay buyers get burnt...

i know dre and chaverz have been screwed around by ebayers...

sometimes its better to pay a bit more for certainty and also convenience..

I was thinking about ebay and found some stuff on there, but when it comes to an engine, no, my enging, I'd rather pay for the parts. I don't have anyhting against ebay, bugger knows how much I've spent shopping on ebay, but I'd like to buy from a shop with this one.

I mean no doubt alot of the guys on here would have re-built their engine's for drag racing, all I want to know is what brands they used, who they went through to get it and if they are happy with the final product.

Essentially I am thinking of Aries pistons and Eagle rod's, but with respect to the rest of the stuff I need, well, I'm kinda lost on which brands are better than the others...

eagle rods are great value..
and as for pistons

- aries are fine
- wiseco are more street in my opinion (higher silicone content)
- je are proven

even the jap stuff such as hks / tomie etc..
depends what u want..
the stockers are good for big power also..

I've got CP forged pistons and Eagle Rods, Cometic head gasket and ARP head and rod bolts.

$420 for SKAT rods
$610 for MAHLE pistons, same brand that make the pistons for F1.

I got everything built all parts and goes hard and unbreakable.
Well for now.

For $3450.

Yes all forged.

Also cometic head gasket, head serviced, balance shaft bets taken out.
and engine fully balanced.

Although i pulled it out of my car and pulled it apart and took it to him.
he gave it back and i put it back in. all this happened within a month.
