Hi All,
Powder coating my Enkei Tarmac rims for my White Evo 3.
The choice is:
1. Standard scotia white rims with new Enkei decals.
OR
2. Satin black rims with re-done Enkei decals in red and the "WRC Tarmac Evo" lettering painted in red too.

Let the voting begin :)

Just to clarify: Satin Black is not Gloss. It's kind of inbetween Matt and Gloss.
I have been told not to get gloss as they show up scratches too much

I would say yes because I wouldn't mind painting my sprintharts satin black - I have over a dozen spokes so its just a bitch to clean. But...! White being the trademark color with red decal it destroys what their are. You would have to repaint them if your selling.

ooooooh controversial! haha
Black tarmacs will look good on a white evo - I saw a white evo V on trademe with matte black tarmacs and it looked awesome!
But I wouldn't go gloss or red writing on them I dont think

Im actually tryin to decide what colour to do my Oz Racing wheels also lol

What will go good on a purple car? lol

White on white!! Black wheels are played out something chronic- plus they look like 16's after you paint them

White for sure.

Aren't you using the car for motorsport events? I have noticed from Targa pics that a lot of attitude of the cars is lost when the rims are painted black, you might come hard through a corner and pick a wheel up or have a photo taken as the car is squatting after taking a crest at speed...if the rims are black most of this detail is lost as the wheels blend in to the tyres/tarmac where as a contrasting colour(especially white) does not have this issue.

Might sound like a bit of a petty reason for not having easy to clean rims but after a Targa event is over I am always very anxious to see my official pre paid photo collection to see if the photographer has managed to catch one of those moments of attitude, having your rims stand out increase the chances of this!

A bit of extra cut polish and a scotch brite after an event gets them gleaming again too :)

Im white for them for sure, but each to there own I guess

you should paint them the original white pearl color if your going to keep them white
