Epic electrical malfunction

Okay so I have a CD5A lancer and I just swapped out an old kenwood head unit for my Sony head unit and installed a sub and amp, everything was going fine for about a week then my clock fuse popped (10a)... This has knocked out the clock, head unit, interior light, open door sensors and possibly my power windows. I changed the fuse and about 100m down the road it popped again. Headlights, indicators, tail light, speedo cluster lights and the back lights for the heater unit are all working, all the other components have their own fuses but stop when the clock fuse pops, anyone here got any ideas? I'm not an electrical retard and am quite capable but this has me stumped

Oh yeah it also knocked out the central locking

As far as I'm aware they should all have their own circuits shouldn't they?

I'm pretty sure the radio, clock and cluster etc. share the same supply. Power windows should have their own dedicated fuse.
Check that none of the head unit wires you played with are shorting out.
If they aren't insulated properly, they may ground out to the steel components of the dash etc.

Where did you take the power from to run the stereo? As jamo said, you have overloaded that curcuit, probably by running the stereo from it.

I ran the stereo into the existing wires from the kenwood unit, kenwood unit has run for a year with no dramas hence the conundrum

So the new sony drags more than the old kenwood or you fingered the instal. No biggy, just check your work

Okay so I disconnected everything even the lighter and clock cluster, so no stereo, no lighter, no clock, key is turned off but still getting big draw through clock fuse, even with the ignition off, this doesn't add up

Okay so I've narrowed the issue to the power cable running to the boot for the amp, I'm not entirely sure how this is powering the clock fuse but once disconnected no more power at the clock fuse
