evening at the drags

so im thinking of heading up to willowbank (southsider) for a test and tune on wednesday 2 of feb evening session. to give the na a final blast before the 93t gets droped in.

so i put it to my fellow 4g tuners to either meet me out there or if your on the southside met up and cruise there together.
not only will you get to meet me you also get to see me run my fully sick 17 second passes if the motor dosn't have a hissy fit like last time (oil pressure sensor failed).
and embarass me with your much beter displays of pure awsomeness.

let me know if you in and if your up for teh cruise from the southside where you wana meet.

oh and if anyone that is comming wouldn't mind me passengering in their car i would love to feel the kick in the pants of a worked gsr or evo.

got a passenger seat trippy? i would love to come out and pay the extra for a run or two in that.
(willow bank now offer passenger runs cost the passenger the same as a driver same restrictions) however i think theres a limitation on how fast the car can run. (edit : must run slower than 11.99 shame your chasing 9's i'd get one run before they stop us but hell would that one run be fun.)

i only suggest 2nd of feb cause it's the first wednesday session of the year and i work weekends i have time to get out there and be ready for the track but no time to stop and catch up with guys along the way.

and tbh i might even have the 93t in by then i head over to singapore in march and wana have the engine done by then.

EXTREME RIDES LETS PASSENGERS GET IN ON THE DRAG RACING ACTION

Drag racers have long known the thrill of speeding down the quarter mile in their high powered machines.

Now, those participating in Test n Tune events have the opportunity to share that experience with friends, family, or even their significant other, thanks to Willowbank Raceway.

The Ipswich facility has announced ‘Extreme Rides’, the chance for drag racers at Test and Tune Drag Racing events at Queensland’s premier drag racing facility to take passengers 18 years and over along for the ride for a small fee.

Willowbank Raceway Managing Director Steve Bettes said he was excited about the new service the track is now able to offer patrons.

“Willowbank Raceway is really pleased to be able to offer this chance to our Test and Tune drag racers,” said Willowbank.

“A lot of our racers spend a lot of time, effort and money on their beloved machines, so I think its great that they will now be able to share the joy that they get out of it with the people close to them.

“In the case of wives, husbands, boyfriends and girlfriends, maybe it will earn them a little bit of understanding for their passion,” he laughed.

The ‘Extreme Rides’ passenger rides will be available at Test N Tunes only, passengers must be 18 years old as a minimum with the cost to be $20 per passenger. Passengers must have long pants, a long sleeves shirt, closed-in shoes and a helmet. All vehichles with a passenger must have a seat, seatbelt/harness and windows must be closed and all vehicles must run slower than 11.99 seconds (1/4 mile distance) to be eligible.

Willowbank Raceway is Queensland’s premier drag racing facility and hosts four major drag racing events each year - the two-round New Year Series in January, the Australian Top Fuel Championships in March and the Castrol EDGE Winternationals in June. just come to mind are the dragstrips open since the flood i dunno if they go affected or not?

i would like to cruise with ya but i get home from work at 4pm i would suspect traffic would be bad too being ipswich

last time i left for a weekend session at around that time right after work for me ( yes i work weekends) and it wasn't too bad did hit some trafic but made it there with time to spare.

If you use the Logan motorway you don't go anywhere near Ipswich.
Just use the new Centenary hwy off ramp and it will take you straight through to Yamanto.
