Hey fellas, just a quick question.. would it be worth me spending my money on an evo 0 engine (including turbo, piping, cams, injectors, etc), or building something better?

Jack's street car goes pretty damn fast (for stock!) but I'm just not sure if I'm better off building something better?

I may have found one cheap-ish.. if someone wants the brakes, I can hook them up too :D

buy the evo 0
sell off your stocky

u can get pretty much all your costs back if u sell to the rigth ppl

=)

(COUGH COUGH, CORDIA OWNERS)

hmm.. time to do more research :D at least with the evo 0 too i'll get the single board ecu too

think i'll suss some decent engine mounts too while i'm at it

jack made some alright ones for fair cheap from memory

does anyone have the solid ones? does it really vibrate as much as what everyone reckons?

Awww thats not very nice, wats wrong with cordia owners :( :p
My cordia would have PWNED my galant that i have now *sigh*

Go the EVO-0, will be plenty of power...

then if u want more, as was ssaid, better starting point....

GRR why did i buy an aus spec... i got the slowest of the 4g63t's :(

coz aus specs are in better condition than jspecs =)

i have one too.. dont worry
just strip your bumpers and u'll be like the rest of us

lol

nah, aus specs are a dying breed..
the american record was done by an american spec
which is the same as ours

as for the cordia owner comment..
nothing wrong with them its just that its easier to find a buyer from them as they seem to need the 4g63's more than we do..

i sold mine to a cordia owner, but it was at a good price though low one thousand mark

hehe yer i was just playing, when i had my cordias i deceided to go the 1.8, strangely enough this was rare :p... must take them off my sig actually...

i have used the solid engine monts on my previous car
the vibration was only noticed at idle, i found i got used to it pertty quickly

thanks man.. i'm keen for them

out of curiosity, how much would you guys pay for an evo 0 front cut (minus panels/front bar), driveshaft and (4 bolt) rear diff/driveshafts?

actually also..

does anyone know how different they actually are

bolt in wise, are there any major differences?

what about wiring? very different?

id say about 2500 ?

Also regarding whats different:

You will find that the loom is different
Injectors Different (510cc)
Bigger Turbo
Evo AFM (609 from memory)
Ecu tune

i think the rest is about the same.

If you can find two, I'll go in for you. Providing it come swith the 4bolt rear end & gearbox. Don't much care about running condition of motor. I'd like the bonnet and front bar. ALso I want the brakes - BADLY -.
