Dont mess around... buy a new one. Its not really worth the hassle of using possibly tired 2nd hand one. Genuine Mitsi ... yeah theyre expensive, But...

If they are the same as a 2G dsm, here is a genuine Mitsi one on ebay. Import evolution also have a web site and will send to australia so their postage will be much better priced, so id ask for a quote.

Searched "tensioner" on extremepsi and one of these should fit, im not an evo person so the other guys will tell you if the 2G dsm one fits an evo motor, im more clued up onto what 1G dsm gear fits the vr4.

Yup, VR4 and EVO are not the same....

If you want bursons style, I believe the Hyundai Lantra's or something like that match....

That link on ebay that was sent says 92-94 7bolt engines... i thought the 92-94 were 1g 6bolt and 95-99 were 2g 7 bolt

Is this right?? EVO1-8 tensioners are interchangable??
