recently I purchased some plug leads from ebay. from FITZRACE
the leads are made by Arospeed and dont have the right angle plug end at the coil pack end as the genuine lead does...hence because the wire is pointing vertical the lead hits the bonett as it closes. The preSsure applied will eventually crack the insulation and the lead will short out.

Whilst after some days of pictures and emails I was offered a refund by the seller FITZRACE. I am just annoyed enough to refused the 83 bucks and keep the leads to show people how badly they fit.

I will post the pictures I sent to the seller FITZRACE showing under bonett that the leads hits...factory leads end etc

yes this is a rant...but since the seller implies mine is the only sent that they have sold where he has had a complaint. I am guessing there wont be a design change.

I've bought from this seller before, luckily it was only an oil cap, but the postage took ages and communication was terrible. I was looking at a set of BC coilovers from the same seller, I think I've changed my mind now.
Good info!

the email exchange from fitzrace continues.....he suggested that I try this and see if it solves the fitting issuephoto from seller.JPG

I reminded him the issue is at the other end of the lead.....and doing this will cause the lead not to engage the spark plug. Plus a gentle suggestion he shouldnt sell auto parts after a suggestion like that.

I am still so mad!!!.....

So he sent you vr4 leads instead of evo1/2/3?

I know aerospeed sell evo leada with the 90 deg bend, ive seen them before

.I think they where probably VR4 yes......what ever they are they dont fit :fuuuuu: :fuuuuu: but FITZRACE tell me mine is the only car they dont fit

According to my learned friend at fitzrace they are now straight as he confirmed it with "AROSPEED" please note different spelling as that is what is written on my package and I dont wamt to caste aspersions on AEROSPEED

not saying your wrong...but in the second pic you posted doesn't look like there is any pressure being applied to the lead from the bonnet??

bonett not fully closed ...infact it is open enough for me to put my phone and arm into the engine bay over the radiator to get that picture. the pressure will be applied at the coil end

All in all. It looks shit with straight plugs lol

I have a coil pack relocation plate here if u need it. But not sure u can use it if u run a/c

Yeah mate they look poo azz. I'd def be wanting a refund. I was going to get a set of these until rob offered me his almost new kv85. I've had dealings with them In the past that have been very good but yeah I'd be pissed and angry too if I were u!!!

Sounds like you got knock offs with packaging and correspondance havering arospeed instead of aerospeed

yep no doubt they are knock off...that didnt bug me. what annoyed me was the lack of commitment to customer service displayed by this seller. fitzrace also implied Im lying when I sent him pictures....here are some samples of words in his replies

Thank you, mate. I am not gonna explain further. Your failure to understand my message simply shows your stubbornness precedes your intelligence This was after he said that he will send me a replacemnet set but ...then wouldnt because the manufacturer has confirm their product is correct

Mate, u think I am stupid? of course I answer that I think he is after he suggested I adjust the spark plug end to stop the coil end from hitting the bonnet.

Do whatever pleases you, way to go mate. well clearly he doesnt give a crack so I thought I should warn people about what to expect

looks to me like GSR leads to be honest... know anyone with a gsr to check? if so ill buy em off ya lol . Ive also purchased things of fitzrace and honeslty have never had a problem.. abit of a shame on them though for bad communication with you

in my opinion this guy is a complete goose. he even went on to tell me that the quality had been checked just because he has them for sale in his store. no evidence of test fitting the product was offered ...

I have a GSR here I can test them on...will let you know

Totally agree with this. I purchased an obd cable on eBay 2 days later showed up as shipped. A week after that I received an email saying they didn't have product in stock with no appology just a link to apply for a refund and please place good feedback!!. It was $8.00 so I said fuck your cable fuck your refund and fuck your good feedback lol

Here is the message I sent them after they asked me why I sent bad feedback
Dear boutiqueshop144-oz,

You marked the item as shipped! Then you messaged me days later to say no product. You make me apply for a refund when you could just give me the refund directly through PayPal. It's not that hard. All over a stupid cable and you want good feedback!!! Fuck you! Fuck your cable, fuck your lies and fuck ever giving you good feedback or ever buying anything from you EVER again. So fuck you!!!!!!!!

Maybe you could chop them up, then use duct tape or superglue to stick them all back together the way they are supposed to be i.e. the 90 bends on the coil end etc, and then send them back for a refund with a note saying "Please see my returns for an example of what I actually asked you for".

I did that with a set of brake adapter brackets for an escort once. Chopped them up with a grinder, welded them back together with the correct hole spacing, then sent them back with the above note. Never did get those brackets............. worth the money in frustration relief alone.
