Hey guys have a Evo 1 hasn't been startd for more than 2 years put a brand new battery also changed the spark plugs turns over but no spark what's so Eva.... Any suggestions guys?

First I'd check the igniter , the little black box near coils with a connector plug going into it.
Then I'd check connection on the coils.

Are you sure it's the spark that's the problem ? Could even be the starter motor ?

The car turns over but doesn't spark... Pulled out one of the leads out put screw driver in to see any spark.... Nothing at all

check all the earth points from head and block to body.

to test for that being an issue.....connect a jumper lead from battery earth to the head and try to start.

Sorry about short reply. Was busy. To elaborate...

Many things can cause no spark. If your not reading any voltage at coilpacks igniter ect. I would start by checking power to ecu. Then continuity from pin outs on ecu to cas, coils ect to make sure no wires have broken in the loom (I've had a cas wire need to be re run once (and that caused no spark.

This is after your general checks like spark plugs, leads ect. Also check if fuel pump is priming when you crank. If not I would say ecu power. If yes then another electrical issue like above. Also try clean all your plugs to make sure you get continuity. I've had problems on ca18's (Nissan) where nock sensor has failed stopping spark. If all this is still not picking up any issues and you have continuity with everything I'd put the fault down to hardware like ecu, cas, ect. But before spending money buying a new coil pack or cas or ecu I'd check wiring with multimeter first as it won't cost you anything but time to check

Thank guys really appriciate ur thoughts... Denims the car in today to a work shop as iv giving up hahaa so hopefully they will sort it out once again thanx guys :)

She's all running now running like a dream! It had a piggy back computer once in its life and the old ecu had been replaced but the crank angle sensor wires were all over the place took about 2 hours to find the problem but it's all done :) thanx for the help guys
