Hi, just bought an Evo 2 rally car in need of some repairs. Its had a hit in the front but came with some parts to fix and has some good stuff on it.
Im in the process of fixing up the bodywork at the moment and will get round to the driveline later. Havent had a good look yet but Im pretty sure It needs a new engine block. Will have a look in the for sale section to see whats about. Cheers Justyn

Top work mate, that Ex Hillary Evans car was bargain of the century! I was thinking about picking it up as 2nd car..

If you are going to rally it you will need to decide if you want to run it as an evo 2 or three as you can't mix and match panels. Since it has the 3 wing and skirts your better off getting a 3 front bar and running it as a 3, as of this year you can use fibreglass front and rear bars and side skirts so might pay to search eBay as well as on here for a fibreglass Evo 3 front bar, will be a lot cheaper! Good luck and sing out of you have any questions.

Cheers Lewis

Im not sure what parts you need, but You can rob a radiator support panel from a proton, I think brand new they are around $200
They need a couple of threads put in for the intercooler mounts, and the bottom radiator mount repositioned. That's about it

Thanks for the info guys. It came with 3 bootlids (E2 and E3),2 front bars (E1 and e2 i think) rad support, bonnet, cooler and 3/4 of an evo 3 shell which is in repair sections. Im sure Ill have plenty of questions down the track.

I really like these spot drills for separating panels. Use in a cordless drill to keeps the rpm down and automatic centre punch.
I'm not sure how long they last, but I drilled 30 odd spots out and it still good.
I have drilled some with normal drills, but you need to sharpen them too often.
Have fun
