hey guys just a question how much wider are the evo 3 gaurds to the normal cc ones?

also i want to make the rear look wider aswell any1 got any ideas i dnt want fiberglass stuff lol i seen sum1 on here doin wide body to a galant but is there anythin easier an im thinkin of puttin a sunroof in has any1 done this, are there any issues.

ummm spring wise do i use coilovers i dnt want a bumpy ride as im planing on racing

recaro seats wat r they worth?

Recaros will go for $500 for a mint pair of SRII's

if u don't want a bumpy ride, don't get coilovers. They will be perfect for track but bumpy on the road

widebody rear will have to be a moulded job similar to what Jayrome has done to his galant, I dint think there are any kits and they'd be fiberglass anyway

In all the searching I've done for E3 panels, I've never come across a wide body kit, let alone in metal rather than fibreglass!!

Maybe you could find a good panel beater to flare and roll the rear guards, but I reckon that's about as far as you'd get.

If you have a dedicated track car, then yes, you should definitely get coilovers, but ones that offer as many points of adjustment as possible.

The cheaper ones generally offer only one point of adjustment, whereas the really good ones, like Teins will offer more.

I can't find any pics of his car but he has done a wide body conversion on his car that looks good!

The guards arent that much wider, prob 20-30mm.
Widebody mainly is a custom job, unless you want to spend $$
And highly doubt you'd be able to do it without some sort of fibreglass, unless you get parts from an Evo V/VI

This is by far the best i've seen:
Available in the UK somewhere, cant find the link ATM

Chico would be talking about factory evo guards...

I would say 10-15mm wider flaring at the bottom.

EVO5 - 6TME wide body rear plastics will fit your car with some mods to it..... if you can find them....

racepro in NZ has a simlar kit but with the Tommi Mak front bumper

Fairly old photos, but this is what I have done:

It looks somewhat different now, with redesigned rear and evo3 front bar and evo bonnet.

In responce to your questions:

-evo guards are fk all wider compared to CC ones. Would be 15mm if that. Only the fronts though, as the rear is the same as GSR/CCs

-Unless you want to do custom metalwork, fiberglass is your only option, with a company in the UK and NZ making evo6-style widebody kits for the CCs

-You would install a sunroof in a CC just like installing an aftermarket roof in any other car. If you're uncomfortable with a grinder to the roof, get a shop to do it for you.

-You are contradicting yourself by saying "ummm spring wise do i use coilovers i dnt want a bumpy ride"

-Depends on which recaros.
