Im just after a few measurements to confirm what twin pot calipers I have.

The story is the guy I bought it off said they were off a vr4.

see the difference?

The top one is the correct one as mine is the bottom image. Difference is the how far in the calipers sit towards the centre of the hub. The issue I have with mine is that it sits too far out hence the brake pad sits roughly 6-7mm off the rotor and eating into the pad leaving a lip to the exterior of the pad, losing potential braking performance.

So my assumption was they came off a galant vr4 if i recall their the same as evo 4? Getting the confusion of the earlier model vr4's. I need to clarify this but I have nothing to measure off to compare or even a match to them. Hoping my luck they are off what Im thinking.

Suggestions?

I'd say they are Evo4 Mountings. The physical caliper size itself is the same as Evo 1-3/Vr4 just the bracket offset is different to accommodate the 294mm rotor on Evo 4. Evo 4 have bigger pistons too.

Vr4 are the same as Evo 1-3 with flare nut fittings.

Are there banjo bolts or flare nuts on the brake line?

I'm looking at getting evo 4 rotor dba 4000 series since they are 294 which is the right size to get full courage of the pads. Tho if they are evo 4 calipers would that mean brembo's would fit too?

My car is a cb lancer with modded hub since the stud axle was a octagon shape and now its circular to fit the current rotors.

banjo bolts on pistons and flare nuts on the shock strut

the ones I have are dba4000 slotted evo4 ones, redrilled to 4 stud

but yes if the evo4 caliper bolts on(if it is evo 4, maybe its legnum???) then brembo will bolt on

galant vr4, legnum are the same evo 4 calipers.

are brembo's larger then the stock calipers cause i would like to keep my 15" sprint harts rims.

brembos wont fit in 15s
if you wanted to use those rotors and calipers you will find the rotors you
have are to thin, brembos need a 32mm wide(or close) rotor.

there are 2 types of legnum/galant calipers, they have different bolt spacing.
the design is the same though, if the ones you have are off a legnum and they bolt to your
original knuckles then i would say they are early ones and wont suit brembos.

late legnum knuckles/calipers have the brembo spacing

do you mean the spacing where it bolts to the hub?

The only mod I had to do to make them fit were to add 5-6mm washers between the calipers and hub.
