hi guys

I did a quick search and read, but I didn't get any answers out of that,

Front doesn't apply to me. only need to worry about the rear

Has anyone successfully done(or know of) a brake conversion on the rear of the vr4? How did people over come the 5 stud conversion? I have a few options, track down 5 stud hubs but wouldn't know where to start with that, redrill to 5 stud and weld old holes, or us a spacer/adaptor.

Honestly not after do this or do that. Im going for the brembo look and internal handbrake setup etc

Hope someone can help me somehow

cheers,
ben

Race fab in nz make weld on brackets for the brakes.

As for 5 stud. Drill like you said or get them from a dsm in the USA.

they made them for the the vr4? ive got a pair of techsport for the evo 1-3 I was going to look to see if I can retrofit them onto the vr4 knuckle.

I was looking on ebay for dsm hubs but could only find fwd rear hubs. so drilling might be the best option. I do have a pair of hubcentic spacer/adaptors which im currently running on my jumbuck I could use them aswell.

but welding and drill hub would be safe? people say no and people say yes.

Should be safe of done right.
Yes, contact race fab. Requires a bit of work to fit though.

Alternatively, install a whole gto rear end....

do you know how much work is involved in the process. I did have at the gto gear I can get the whole arm setup but only price I seen way 300 a side in USD. I did see a complete gto setup too but I cant justify the cost of that

Position the stud holes so that no welding is required, just the drilling.

drilling wont be an issue ill just use my adaptors as it using 1 stud to convert from the 4 to 5, but id wanna weld the unused holes to keep the strength there

so I contacted racefab, they still have and make the brackets. so that's the first problem solved. Cheers, Baz

now to find either new hubs or drill and weld..

so I ordered and received the racefab brembo kit..

highly recommend them there was a delay at the start, but nothing major, but once he had posted them they were on my door step within a few days.
