Evo/GSR Front LSD

Bought this off a forum member a few months back in the hope I could use it in the GTi, but I've just found out this doesn't fit and have decided to bite the bullet and fork out the cash for a Kaaz front LSD.

Just looking to get back what I paid for it, seems to be in good condition and was checked by my gearbox builder before he tried to fit it.

$200 firm

I can put pics up when I get it back from the builder this weekend.

I thought they did but needed one bearing changed. And maybe awd driveshafts?

I don't have LSD in my car front or rear. Think its worth it? I do t loose traction with 270kw

I thought that too Jack, but apparently it's not that simple.

The FWD shafts fit in the splines as I checked that before I gave the box over, but apparently the actual housing of the lsd is too big to fit the casing.

I believe so as the LSD in the GSR/Evo 1, 2 & 3 was the same?

Happy for anyone with more knowledge to object though, I don't want to give out any incorrect info...

I've never looked in to fitting this to a VR4, but I'm sure someone on here can confirm?

Yeah mechanical front LSD's like Cusco and Kaaz will fit both FWD and AWD boxes. Check part numbers in their range to confirm. The top cover of the viscous LSD is broader than a mech LSD so it might have fitmemt issues in a FWD box. I havent tried putting a viscous centre in a FWD box before, only mechs, and they use a tapered roller bearing on the front diff for the fwd case.
Are you selling just the viscous LSD centre on its own? or does it come with a viscous front diff crownwheel? whats the tooth count? does it come with the longer LSD crownwheel bolts? Lastly, I assume it doesnt come with the 'must have' viscous LSD CV cup (drivers side cv cup) thats hard to find?
I might be interested in it depending on what spares I have left here to be able to use with it.
