Hey guys,

Just got some KU36's (215/45/17) that im getting fitted tomorrow im also getting a wheel align but im wondering on some good daily wheel align specs if anyone has any??

I daily drive my car so i dont want no tyre killing specs but make my car handle a little better.

Thanks

i had done a w/a on my gsr about a year ago to evo specs and it was set 1.2mm toe in on the front and 0mm on the rear. car drives great and tyres holding up well. dont know if it does the same with 300+kw tho :)

i run 1mm toe in front and rear

for the road maybe 2 neg front camber and 1.5 rear - shouldnt be too hard on tyres.

if you want it to turn in you need castor - there is no adjustment stock but you can buy new bushes for gsr/evo1
and for evo 2/3 you can use the evo 4-6 castor bushes.

makes a big difference

Well im still yet to do the front end bushes as mitch didnt do them before i got the car from him so thats maybe something ill look into when i upgrade the front bushes.

Agreed with the slight toe in on the rear.
I wouldnt go toe out on the rear at all, they get excited enough as it is..even with neutral toe in the rear it seems during mid corner they still get too excited.

I've just finished buying the all of the Whiteline compnents available for the GSR

In their article: http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/articles/RHA98_GSR_b.jpg - they suggest the following settings once all of the Whiteline products are fitted:

_______________________________

Front

Toe: 0

Camber: 1.25 degrees negative

_______________________________

Rear

Toe out: 2mm each side

Camber: 0.75 degrees negative

Caster: 3.5 degrees positive

________________________________

Would these settings be too aggressive for everyday driving?

I use:

Front Camber: -1.50 degrees
Front Toe: 0 degrees

Rear camber: -1.00 degrees
Rear Toe: 2mm toe in per side.

Personally with camber, I believe that the stiffer your suspension, the less camber you require. I like a bit of toe in at the rear for stability at speed. But, I keep the toe at the front neutral for turn in response. If the car is having a particularly understeery day I wind each side in half a turn at the front to give slight toe out.

well i have ohlins coilovers which are pretty stiff.

i dont mind-

front-
-2.0 camber
toe?

Rear-
-1.5 camber
toe??

only thing is this is a daily driver but dont want to change settings when i have the occasional spirited drive...

got my new tyres fitted yesterday and got a wheels align to georges specs and all i can say is it drives sooooo much better.

thanks george :)

George i got all new bushes for the front and they are getting fitted tomorrow. what specs should i have setup with the double caster bushes..

if i run this below as i already have got from you before and i find good.. should i keep these settings with the double caster bushes??

-2.0 camber front
-1.5 camber rear
1mm toe in

For GSR's and EVO I's..... using Whiteline castor kit ;)
