Hey guys, i have recently bought some Evo One front and rear seats for 500 bucks.

I thought it was a pretty good price!

I have put them in and have been driving around for about 2 weeks and i still feel that they sit a little bit to high!
The standard GSR ones sat a little bit lower!

Just wondering if anyone can hook me up with some lower rails or know of any i can buy from somewhere?

This is them

You'll probably have to get some custom seat rails made. One place I had this done charged around 80 per seat and they made them with provision for 3 different height settings.

If you end up wanting to sell the origional evo seat rails let me know...

Stock GSR rails wont fit the EVO Recaros because Lancer seats have a stepped base and the Recaros are flat based. Stick with it because you'll probably find that it was your GSR seats cushioning that was rooted and you sat lower in the seat rather than any fault of the Recaro/EVO seat rails  :p

Yeah i think that u r right EVO00X, i put my standard GSR seats in last night and had a proper look at them and yeah the GSR seats are actually pretty thin bottom!

How much u think i could sell the EVO front and rear seats for????

Still i would like to just lower thaem atleast about 3cm!

Where was that place that u got thoses seat rails madeGSR00093?

If i do get the custom ones made up yes i will be selling the evo rails!

EVO 1 Recaros in good nick go for around $600 pair and the rear seat around $100. It all depends on the condition of them. Do you really need to sit lower as there's a bit of hassle with custom rails as they technically need to be engineer certified. How about mucking around with seating positions for a few days at a time to see what will work? Try moving the seat as far backwards as possible and lifting up the tilt steering - sucks to be too tall for a car sometimes especially when you have the seat as far back as possible and still feel a little more leg space would be awesome

Recaro dealer in Melb did mine. Try the Recaro dealer there or find out from other seat suppliers (Revolution racegear would be one) who fits theirs.

I agree, you sit up like jackie in evo 1 seats. If you go custom just make sure you tell them you want them as low as possbile. On the lowest setting my Recaro SR's sit lower than standard gsr seats. And make sure they use high tensile steel.

I just put in a set of Evo 1 Recaro's and noticed that they a bit higher. I think I will get used to it but if you'r getting some custom rails made I may be keen to get a set also!

Our Proton M21 (also GTi are the same) has Recaro seats standard which are the same as the EVO 1 seats. The rails will bolt straight into the Mitsubishi Lancer/EVO as well. The rails are constructed the same as EVO rails but it doesnt feel like you sit tall.... but then again I'm probably used to it :)

Yeah i sat in the seats befor i bought them! They were in a CE Mirage and they fell heaps nice! Nice and low!
I think it just might be teh car or me! LOL

Hey EVO00X get ur brother to get incontact with me about the centre console lid and AC vent and glove box hinges!

I second that, you can compronise on the height for the better hold with the Recaro's. Can't beat them............. :)

Really cant under stand why these GSR owners stay with there stocky armchairs, there missing out big time !!!

BTW still have some up for grabs, nearly forgot...... if anyone is seriously interested??????
