Hi guys, can someone let me know that the space-saver spare tyre dimensions are in the EVO I-III please?
ta.

Stamped on the rim is 15 4T 2.892/7
Toyo tyre E-08 T125/70D15.

this is off a jspec gsr space saver wheel

Cheers Jon.

 125/70/15 ... fark, tyre calculators dont even go that low Jon but yours looks to be about 556mm which would be way off stock GSR overall diameter of 589.6mm???

Stock overall wheel/tyre diameters are:
195/60/14 = 589.6mm (GSR)
195/55/15 = 595.5mm (EVO1)
205/55/15 = 605.5mm (EVO 2/3)
205/60/15 = 627.0mm (EVO 2/3)
195/65/15 = 634.5mm (EVO 2/3)

As you've probably guessed I'm looking for a space saver to be close to my overall wheel/tyre diameter of my 215/40/17 at 603.75mm.

I have one off a Nissan at the moment to pass rego and its 135/70/16 = 595.37 mm

That is the same wheel size used on Subaru's I think. most of them are fitted with space savers, I'll have a look what sizes as there is a couple lying around, pity they are 5 stud...

My main concern was why the diameter is so far out on the stock space-saver vs stock wheels. Anyone know what the limit is different rolling doameters would be before it starts causing concern?

The EVO 1 has 195/55/15 = 595.55mm.
A Nissan 135/70/16 I got would be spot on at 595.37mm

They have a "T" at the start of the size indicating temporary so they probly are the same size just the numbers don't indicate the same as normal tyre sizes.

Are you sure Richard? I think I might consult a tyre pro just to double check? Youd think they would be under the same sizing guidelines?

So all the boys running 17"+ wheels, what are you using as a spare? or do you just keep a can of puncture fix in the boot? or dont carry anything at all and hope for the best? lol

Hahahaa me too rob Ive never used that spare or carried it come to think of it never thought about weather its the same rolling diameter.

Come who else has space saver wheels
whats the stamping on the rim? tyre sizes?

Na I'm not certain of that it was just a suggestion?
I just have a GSR 14" wheel as my spare, If I get a flat it will only fit on the back tho coz of the front brakes, the diff's will take up the tiny difference in diameter but it wouldnt get driven far like that...

Yep, definitely 125/70/16. In the meantime still going to chase up a space-saver as close to the 17" diameter and get back to you :) (the rubber on these tyres has got to be well past its used by date lol)

Yep :) Its funny how an EVO AFM over there can be listed for near 300 pounds ($600AU!!) but an EVO bonnet be listed for only for 120 pounds ($300AU). Maybe we should send our AFM's over there and they should send us the bonnets!!
