hi. i wanna run a evo1-3 throttle body on a gsr 4g93t engine. i know that the intake needs to be ground out to match evo tb size but just wanted to know if there was any other things i should know about:)

1. will it just swap straight over?

2. can i use the stepper motor that comes on the tb or do i need to use the one from the gsr tb?

3. can i use the tps from the evo or do i need to use the one from the gsr tb?

any help would be great. just for piece of mind i also am running a evo ecu, 510cc injectors and 609afm aswell.

Thanks
Paul

a Evo ce9a throttle body & isc is a straight bolt on and plug in
just port out the intake plenum to match.

This a what i did to a RVR intake so we can use a 60mm EVO throtle body, remeber to take off the intake manifold when your dremel out the intake

As above, the key is porting the intake mani to match the larger TB... if you do not port match throwing on the larger TB is a pointless expedition and can actually decrease performance...

how noticable is this, sorry for the stupid question if it is, or if its been coverd before, my net takes to long to keep searchin thru the forums

gives a little bit more top end flow.
But I guess you're answer would be subject to how much you're pushing through it.

I wish mate haha.
Nah I havn't done the Evo Throttle body upgrade on mine.
But with the standard Evo bolt ons it provides a little bit of extra flow to the runners on higher rpm.

might give it a try, gotta get a new die grinder grinding thing so i can do the td05 swap as well, ya done that or know how??? i got a fair idea but tips always help

yeh man, thats pretty straight forward, just gotta bore out the 93t manifold outlet to the same size as the TD05 exhaust housing. 63mm from memory.
PM me if you need a hand with it mate ;)

guys just letting you know a TR magna throttle body is 60mm as well, infact its exactly the same as an evo throttle body.

The only difference is its piss easy to find at the local wrecker and costs fark all.

sweet, well i wont molest my evo manifold, are they engine specific like only the 64 or any of em with the single throttle body, save me stuffin round finding out the hard way

I have a magna throttle body here if you want it bro?

For the turbo, you will need to port the fark out of the 4G93T manifold, get a TD05 dump and lines.
