EVO vs EVO gsr????

Hey guys, just out of curiousity whats the difference between a genuine evo compared to a evolution gsr?

they're both genuine.

Evo's come in three variants of late...

GSR (standard ones with all the "luxo" features... what there is of them)

RS (Rally Spec give or take, usually minus power windows, minus climate control etc)

MR (Mitsubishi racing??, full luxo trim with some extra oomph to make up for it)

RS for race or GSR for every day

old school GSR's have diff engine + tonnes of other diff so guess it depends what you're talking about

There's also EVO 9 MR

and GT-A

yeah the makkinens are practically an MR

as its a 6.5

8MR is 8.5

9 MR is a 9.5

pretty much

and the GT-A's are automatic models of the evos.

So make that 5 models (although the MR is more a update/facelift than a model variant).

The IX GT is a Down Spec GSR, our Lancer Ralliart (when it is released) will probably be the same spec, (No Electronics).
The GSR EVO is the normal EVO we get in Australia, or the 260 in the U.K.
The MR stands for Mitsubishi Racing, has more Luxury Features, Climate Control as opposed to normal A/Con, it also has Alloy Roof & Bonnet & Front Guards, has slightly different cam profile, 10.5 Turbo Hotside as opposed to 9.8cm Hotside, & Anti Lag.
The RS Spec is a Rally Car, about 200Kg lighter, has steel wheels & no AYC.

all jap model GSR's have climate control

and anything from evo 5+ besides the evo 7 has the 10.5 hotside.

the oz spec 6.5 hasnt got climate control and is an RS II model.

Yeah I heard that the OZ spec TME didn't have climate cont, Basicly it was like a RS with power windows, it didn't even have the front LSD. :shock:
The GTA doesn't have RECARO seats, Big EVO wing, and has a NON- vented bonnet.....Oh and AUTO trans and 170kw.
