evo1 how much boost on stock ecu can i run

hi
im new to the turbo world just some ?

got evo 1 with stock ecu
3 inch full system[no dump from turbo yet]
hks foem air cleaner
shows about .5 bar in top gear
my ? is ive been told i can run 1bar without getting a reprogram on ecu.by adding fuel pressure reg and a boost
control tap.
If this is true what would fuel pressure have to be at the reg?and do i have to by base the factory one?do i need
bigger feul pump also?:unsure:

First off welcome to Team4g.
Second please put your location in your side profile.
Thirdly a search on the forums will find out all the info.

But an Evo1 should run about 10psi (0.7 BAR).
With the 3 inch exhaust you could expect about 1-2psi increase in boost.
The fuel system should be able to handle 14.5ps/1 BAR easily enough, without having to worry about fuel pressure regulators and ECU changes.

Just chuck on a turbotech manual boost control from Ebay and away you go...:thumbsup:

With a mild exhaust and say a K&N youll see cut around 16-18 psi.

just picked up gsr with evo 1 engine [rebiult by meek].30000k ago.
havent checked fuel pump yet.
will do what u said both.on ebay now.
when put system on it did go up a fly shit.from .4 too .5 could just notice it.
