Since my turbo upgrade and new tune, my poor old stock standard EVO2 gearbox is now having to deal with over 300kw and 560Nm of torque at the flywheel and somehow get that to the wheels.

It's holding up OK sofar, but I have noticed that it's spitting ALOT of gearbox oil out from the breather.

What has/can be done to help alleviate this? I know DOUGMO has run a breather line up to a filter. What is required to do this? If you remove the little bulb breather on the gearbox, is there a threaded fitting or something that can be used to attach a hose to?

I was thinking of running a breather line to my catch can, which is also hooked up to the rocker cover. It's not recirculating anything back to the engine, so there's no concern of getting gearbox oil in the sump!

Has anybody run a trans cooler? Would this help a bit?

I just tapped a thread in the bung hole and run a hose up to a Darby type fuel filter

Don't run it to the catch can as the e85 fumes may contaminate your gear oil as well

I also have one on my transfer case, it's going o happen with prolonged track work with that much power

On the cooler you can run a pump and small cooler, my box has been prepped to do that but not sure that it will be required at this stage

Yes, you may be able to modify the push in plug to take a hose?

Then run it up next to the booster? I chose a fuel filter so I could see if any oil had gone up into the filter (clear filter)
