EVO3 O2 Housing on VR4 4G63??

I've seen someone selling one of these in the For Sle section on here:

EVO 3 - O2 Housing/dump pipe - $150

I've read in various forums that the E3 O2 housing is bigger than the stock VR4 one, and somehow increases performance if fitted to a stock VR4 4G63?

Can anyone verify if this is correct, and why?

yep
fits, its a good buy as well

only problem is, its flanged at a different angle, so you'll need a couple of gaskets so it seals right, and doesnt hit the transfer case

also, the bolts on the bottom of the housing to which the exhaust flange slides over are further apart than the std vr4 one. I had to slot the holes in the exhaust flange to allow it to fit. Even with 3 fat glaskets, it would not seal and the exhaust was hard against the transfer case. Got the exhaust modified to suit and all is now sweet.

Lots of people here port em out a lil' bit and modify their downpipes to fit, it's ~2.5" vs the std 2.25"
