Evo3 would you?

Hey dudes,

Just after some opinions cause I can't make up my mind. I've got this 3 which except for some miracle to ever happen, will never see a tire turned on our roads - being a race rally import. Essentially, it's my track car - so if I had a big off I could wreck the car and all the distinguishable bolt on bits that make it a 3, i.e. skirts, pods, rear spoiler etc. So I was thinking of stripping them off and if able (like the boot) replace with a GL units. So my question is - should I do it or would it offend too many people?

take them off...sell and use funds to buy tyres...or other bits for racing.

I love the 3s so would say keep it as is. Just curious how do you get it to events - do you trailer it or can you get a permit? I would have thought that it would be a lot of fun in the sipped event series ands stuff.

Rally rego. Allows to and from events and the odd trip to the workshop.

Yeah usually just trailer it to events but occasionally I've got a 24 hr permit to drive to and home...mostly to ahg which is 10 minutes from home. Anyway I went ahead and took all the gear off the car only to decide to put it back on ! Just thinking I was probably a little bored and wanted something to do to the car. Well the car is up on stands so I've gone ahead and fabbed up a 3" stainless exhaust which is fitted to a dump with J pipe to match. Straight through - no resonator, cat etc. We'll see how loud it is!. Nice and light though...I must say. Materials alone = $130
