Looking to fit longer wheel studs all round on a mates track Evo4. Do i need to remove the hubs to get them out or is there enough room to sneak them out/in? I know its not the best method of using wheel nuts to pull the studs in anyway, but may require them to run full slicks/rim setup and not enough time to do it.

on the front you may get away with unbolting the hub off the knuckle and pressing them in but it may be a real muck around so I would suggest splitting the hub from the bearing.

rear is the same.

if you have a really good press setup it may work though.

I have removed my front evo4 hubs from the knuckles to do it though but thats also so i can clean up the hub face properly too.

are you using arp studs or something a bit shorter?

was looking at the nice studs. all the toyota dudes use them and havent had a problem. Im not familiar with the evo and havent really looked at it much to be honest. I was hoping i could do them on car as i dont have access to a press at the moment. Was looking at good old hammer/block and oulling them through by usig old wheels nuts and tightening them up.

Guess ill have to pull the discs off and see

nice studs are ok for street use but they are not in the same league as arp ones.
if the car runs spacers I would not consider them.
from us ebay you should be able to land a full set for well under $200au
