Evo4?

Hey guys.

First off if this is in the wrong section then my apologies. Wasn't really sure where to put it and i tried to sus it out at the start so went with this section.

Being still pretty new to the mitsubishi's, was wondering if i could get some help trying to find some info on this mitsu.

My original thought was an evo 4. But the front bar doesn't seem right to me. As it doesn't have the big foggies in the corners. So i then thought it may just be a ce1 sedan with amber corners and a mesh grill. But now i am not so sure.

Also i have had some people suggest it may be a malaysian variant of the evo 4. Again not sure.
Any help from you guys would be awesome.

ck4a's used that bumper. majority of them i believe.

i believe the ck2a series used the CE sedan bumpers we got here.

edit: actually.. hang on.. isnt it just the standard ce1 bumper with a lip and foggies. Mind you in japan you can pretty much customize anything you want on the car. and plus the abundance of chop shops in asia (that pic is from hong kong) its hard to pinpoint exactly which model came with that bumper.

So they did make the ce in a gsr? I am thinking it may be that ck4a but i am not sure. I am gunan ring around a few places tomorrow and find out. if anyone has any other ideas would be much appreciated. And thanks for all the ideas so far.

its a Jap 1.8 GSR CE lancer, the door stickers give it away, but also could be a mivec version

both in ck4a guise (2wd) and cm5a guise.

Righto so just sumarise i am afet the ck4a or cm5a front end? Which i am assuming i will need to get from a importers? Did they just have a mivec 1.8 as in same as ours just dohc or something? Or were they better. Reason i ask is would people be importing these as half cuts or something? Or am i going to have to source this nose conversion separately.

the mivec's were still 1.6(4g92) and the gsr's are 1.8 turbo (4g93T). Both only came in DOHC guise. its just that they are in the CE orientation. Far better than the local offerings obviously.

Yes, you would need to source these kits off halfcuts unless you can find a local fibreglass shop that will be willing to make you one.
