Exhausts

Went to trufit exhaust today, and I got quoted $1395 for a full 3" turboback mild steel exhaust for the VR4

Is this normal? The catback for my S13 only cost around $400 for stainless, but it was off the shelf.

Also, does anyone know where to get a 3" dump pipe for the standard turbo.
I want to pick one up ASAP so I don't have to get them to make it.

You have to make the dump.

There are places here in ballarat that will do a full mild steel 3inch exhaust for 1250 or less. Custom dump and all.

that's pretty much the same price that i got without the dump pipe

i got mine done at Daalder in box hill....


titanium muffler and 3" S/S cat back cost me just over $700,
the muff was worth 350, so thats only another 350 for cat back s/s piping.....

and they made a holden muffler to fit to the same flange for epa purposes :wink: :wink: :wink:

i reckon for a full system they would be cheaper than 1200.

their workmanship is very good too.....

sounds a bit pricey! especially for mild steel...
trufit is usually cheap too... it definately wouldnt be my first port of call for a bit job like that either, i've had a lot of work done by them, and while it's been cheap, it hasn't exactly been spot on if u get what i mean!
i got quoted $1000 from Exhaust City reserve road cheltenham, its the EPA testing place... They quoted me a dump pipe, high flow cat, resonator, 3 inch stainless cannon, all 3 inch mandrel bent with an automatic pass through the EPA if i get picked up!
i also recommend highly the work of Bay Rd Exhaust in Chelteham too, not sure how much he'd charge for that but he's a master! top bloke too! 9585 4833.

i had mine done by a truck exhaust place. Reason, they have a 3" mandrel bender, so it was all pretty much 1 piece from dump to cat, then one piece from cat to muffler..

not the cut / weld / cut weld stuff.

looks alot neater and also the steel was coated
