External Wastegate off O2 housing

I found this while trawling the web the other day:

Is running your wastegate off one of these O2 housings any good?
The advantage I can see is that you can use the stock exhaust manifold.
What are the disadvantages?

Clearance might be a bit of an issue depending on what car it's going in.

I ran the punishment racing housing with a 38mm tial on a 50trim turbo. I could run any boost from about 18psi or so to over 30 without any hint of creep.
I just cut the wastegate flapper off on mine. As the wastegate flap never opens fully in a std setup just removing it improves gas flow quite a bit.
I did have clearance issues and had to run an Afco radiator under the support panel.
