Having never physically measured an EVO I 16G before I wasnt sure what size it was? I have measured an EVO III 16G and an EVO II 16G and yeah, the EVO II 16G had the same 68mm comp exducer size as the EVO III - this got me thinking at the time that maybe some EVO II's had [what we have come to know as] big 16G's as found on EVO III's. It didnt occur to me that they were all the same as it contradicted whats been said on the net over many many years.
I never really have had the opportunity to pull down any other EVO turbos other than the single II & III turbos I had done in the past and take measurements (and the II had the same specs as the III so was instantly suss on what people have been saying for years on the net).
If all EI-III's came with the same specs then man, there have been a lot of people over the years been duped and taken for a ride by sellers and shops alike who may or may not have known better.
Both Steve and Dirk speak gospel in the Mitsu community so their words ought to be heeded
My mate just told me he lost his job so looks like he's gonna pass up on the turbo  (it was for the RVR engine build I did recently, he was looking to upgrade from the TD04/TD05 hybrid to a 16G). Tough break
