Pretty sure EVO 1 turbos are big 16g's. I know i'm going against the grain, but when the turbo comes off we're going to measure the wheel, and confirm what people like agent orange and Steve Murch have been saying for quite some time.....

That's about right for a Small 16g.
Don't you guys know that evo 1,2,3 all have 68mm compressor wheels?
This makes them more of a 'big 16G' unlike 'small 16Gs' which have a 60mm compressor wheel.
Don't believe me? Just pop the compressor cover off one and measure it.

If you wanna start up another thread, i'll split this one!

Wats the catback like Dre? Any pics?

I bought it off dkGSR, it's nothing flash, but is a fraction of the price of what a new one would cost....

I'll get pics up asap, I still have to pick it up from CREATD

I would be interested in the headgasket Dre, and maybe the front pipe only, I already have a 3" cat back tho so I would only want the front pipe, If you could put up a pic or two

Yep i'll grab you one asap You know it's to suit a TD04 though right? That's the reason why i'm not using it.

Having never physically measured an EVO I 16G before I wasnt sure what size it was? I have measured an EVO III 16G and an EVO II 16G and yeah, the EVO II 16G had the same 68mm comp exducer size as the EVO III - this got me thinking at the time that maybe some EVO II's had [what we have come to know as] big 16G's as found on EVO III's. It didnt occur to me that they were all the same as it contradicted whats been said on the net over many many years.

I never really have had the opportunity to pull down any other EVO turbos other than the single II & III turbos I had done in the past and take measurements (and the II had the same specs as the III so was instantly suss on what people have been saying for years on the net).

If all EI-III's came with the same specs then man, there have been a lot of people over the years been duped and taken for a ride by sellers and shops alike who may or may not have known better.

Both Steve and Dirk speak gospel in the Mitsu community so their words ought to be heeded :)

My mate just told me he lost his job so looks like he's gonna pass up on the turbo  (it was for the RVR engine build I did recently, he was looking to upgrade from the TD04/TD05 hybrid to a 16G). Tough break

That's them breaks! If it wasnt for people losing their jobs, then I wouldnt have a job! :w00t:

Yeah I realise that Dre, I can reweld it in the right spot, just I am about to connect it up and may as well have something better than a stock pipe, If it doesnt look all that pretty I will probly just get something made up at an exhaust joint. Keen on the headgasket for my 2ltr build tho.

It's not exactly the prettiest pipe in the world, but you wont be able to get one made for $90. I'll get pics up for you if you REALLY need to know what a front pipe looks like.....

Oh and the headgasket- kaotik said he wants it too, but the first person who says they're coming to pick it up will be the one who gets it- I dont have time to much around here boys- it's first in, first served

I've reduced the prices on this stuff guys! It has got to go!!

New turbo on this weekend fingers crossed, so old one will be up for grabs!
