I have hand fed weiros/ cockatiels for sale. Im in Perth.
These birds are hand fed so they are really tame. Hand raised birds are very different, they love to play and interact with humans.
If i put them on the ground they will walk up and jump back on you, happily sit on your hand and shoulder and are starting to chirp now. Last night one was starting to learn to imitate my sister whistle.
Weiros can also be taught to talk if your talk to them enough, and these being so comfortable with people there’s a good chance.
They will be ready to be sold when they can fully eat seed on their own, likely another 2 weeks.
Pet shops sell them for$ 170-200 (150 for the ones that don’t sell) from what I’ve seen and most the birds are not as tame as mine. The ones that aren’t hand reared are much cheaper. I have a friend that works at a bird shelter and she said these are fantastic.
They’ve also had their wings clipped properly on both sides so they can’t fly away, but can land properly if they fall.
Im asking $100 each for them which is very reasonable.
Now asking 70. Hes the last one i kept because we were deciding between keeping him and the runt.
I have 3 greys (and one cinnamon, which is likely presold.)
The babies look scruffy and dull atm, they will develop their colours much more as they mature and look like their father. More yellow cheeks, more solid grey body with the white. Last pic is of the father in the cage.
If people want they are welcome to come over and have a handle before they are ready to be sold.
