My old clutch was hard. It was a daiken.
I had my master/slave cyclinders replaced (Leaking fluid). Then my clutch was replaced with an Exedy Heavy Duty Sports Tuff clutch. Its much nicer feel/softer pedal and grips excellent 
The only thing is this rubbing noise when the clutch engages, but meh.
Oh btw, you might want a new clutch pedal bracket too, unless you want your car towed like me a few months ago, eheh.
