Fake or real?

Its a FAKE!!!
* Look how the body is greyish and rough, the genuine Walbro's are smooth and shiny silver.
* The genuine Walbros also should come with an intallation kit to suit your car, not a generic installation kit as per that Ebay Auction.
* Real Walbros come with English instructions, the fake ones come with French/Spanish or something instructions.

There should be a sticky in the FOR SALE section that shows you how to tell the difference and they are easily spotted when you know what to look for

not all walbro's come with fitting kits!
buying from a wholeseller they sell kits with, filter and connection they dont sell them with hoses or instructions per kit..

you only get the instructions and soforth when you buy from a 'retail' shop...

heres some food for thought..

someone on ebay sells you a pump that they take a picture of a genuine one then they send you a fake.. if you werent clued up on the differences how would you know? i would recommend paying that extra 20-40 to buy from a retail shop where you have a warrantee and can see first hand before handig over some hard earned cash only to get a fake.

It certainly looks fake - there's no pic of the walbro logo on the pump either.

"165 Ltr per hour. 475 Hp" I thought they were 255l/hr ?? (my genuine, shiny, logo stamped, made in usa, one is anyway).

The fakeys are stamped with the Walbro insignia and GSS-342 numbers as well - the only way we can tell the difference at the moment is that the genuine Walbros have a shiny silver surface and are coated in oil. Everything you need to know is here: http://4gtuner.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3831 . Stay away from anything that doesnt look like the genuine item as indicated.

165 litres is probably their "disclaimer" the real ones are 255!
they can then say it was not up to the job in you car
