Fast Mitsubishis At Calder.. 12.05 VR4 and 12.05 Evo

Went to the drags last night at calder.. i cracked a 12.050.

Anyways there was this VR4:

it was running 19psi on its setup.. the best run i was told was a 12.05, but i only witnessed the 12.4 @ 114mph pass.. but yer this is a car to look out for as its got the gear.. and it looked good last night.. with more practice and abit more boost i cant see adrians 11.8 record standing much longer..

and yes it still runs the stock 3 bolt rear end!

tho it was completely gutted!!!!

Oh yer and last night there were:

2 x EVO 1's (mine and aarons, aaron went 13.1)
2 x VR4 (eugenes white one was there.. saw it run a 15 flat at 90mph)

amazing how your almost stock evo performs compared to a highly modded vr4... shows what difference weight makes.....

Was puffing a bit of white smoke??? Hope everything is ok with the car.

The Guttered VR4 looked tough

oil leaked from the turbo feed onto the exhaust! causing it to burn abit.. and at the end of the night,, my last run 12.5 @ 112mph my clutched slipped thru 3rd and 4th gears.. so thats it.. slipping clutch

ahh u did well last night jon was a good night haha i drove home with thjat aarons evo 1 smoked him all the way he needs an exhaust sooo bad his is worse than my old one,

that vr4 wasnt too bad rekons hes coming back with a bigger setup
its big enough as it is 272's forged everything u can forge an a 30/37 very nice but u have to lkaugh wen a stockish... well unforged evo is running the same

frankly its not that fast for a 4wd. ive got a rwd car now and it does 12.9 and is almost dead stock.
