I was discussing this with a friend the other night and decided to try and come up with a list of Australia's fastest Mitsu 4wds. The quick ones are all well known, but what about the 10.00 - 10.99 cars?

  1. APC (Tube Evo 2)- 8.76 @ 173
  2. Mick's Motorsport (Tube Evo 2) - 9.20 @ 154
  3. Rigoli (4wd Accent) - 9.42 @ 144
  4. Brett Lodge (Silver GSR) - 9.56 @ 145
  5. Rob Barac (Yellow Evo 2) - 9.67 @ 151
  6. That WA 4wd converted CE lancer - 10.1 @ ???
  7. Jim (White GSR)- 10.2 @ 145
  8. Joey (4wd Proton) - 10.4 @ 137
  9. Morpowa (Black GSR) - 10.5 @ 131
  10. Joe (Yellow Evo 9) - 10.71 @ 134
  11. Dan (White GSR) - 10.7x @ 142
  12. CREATD (Chameleon GSR) - 10.91 @ 134
  13. BCNYA (White VR4) - 10.98 @ 122

I know there was that dark purple E1 from QLD that went into the 10s, though I have no idea of the times.

What else is out there?

Ah crap, I was thinking about CREATD when I typed that out .. forgot to put it in (nah, I'm just hating on the 1.8s  )

Yep, Mick's Lancer is all fixed, it got a new body and a bit more bar work, and it's been painted this time around - looks 100 times better than it did before hand .. still hasn't got a motor back in it yet, but the new setup should make a bit of stonk :D

If I'm not on the list already, I'm disappointed - I'll try harder

I'll see if I can get some pics of it on the weekend.

hahaha

Your a classic Steve, your always on the list :D
Yeah take some pics of the beast.

Hopefully 08 will see a few more jump into the top 10

Do we have a leader board of members/times??

Maybe we need to start this up? a top 10 list for

GSR/EVO with 1.8L
GSR/EVO with 2L
VR4 2L

Or just a 1 -> 10 or members cars, time/speed/etc

Alister ran a 10.20 @ 144
I think :D

The last of the tin work is just about done, i pick it up in saturday so cage and tin ios complete

Then its time to get it going...
It will be breathing meth hopefully this yr, as for numbers on the board...I guess ill see how i go 8)

Happy to do a Kiwi list too - you guys'll have to supply the data for that one though.

Is SLOGSR still in Australia, or did it just come over for Jamboree? I remember it was here waaaaay before Jamboree though, so had wondered if he'd relocated.

Alister has never brought the best to OZ
Afraid of snapping everything because of our supeior tracks hahaha

What's the car I'm thinking of then? Half blue / half yellow, Kiwi car, ran 10s in testing at Willowbank before Jambo 2 years ago?

Yeah, brain-fart on SLOGSR .. it definitely wasn't it.

Pre jambo 2005, there was a half yellow / half blue GSR testing at Willowbank running into the tens .. I was sure it was a Kiwi car, but I guess it might have been a local one. I'll ask my mate who was there and see if he can remember.

hahahaha

I went through the Fullboost archive and couldnt find anything :?

What ever your smoking ill take 2

What about that Red EVO from Micks that was picking up the front wheels?

Yeah, but the full boost list isn't that good - it doesn't have Dan's GSR in it for example.

The red one was Mick's own car - it never made a full pass.

At Jambo that year, it broke drive shafts twice .. then it's next time out it hit a wall after splitting a lower radiator hose and dumping water under the wheels.

The motor came out and went into the race car.

The red car has been fixed, had a 1.8 in it for a while with a microtech, but is now going full house - 2.4, dog box, all the good shit. Probably won't be on the road until next year though.

The red car is a different car .. it crashed at a street meet in Sydney after Jambo that year when it split a lower radiator hose and dumped water under the front wheels. It's all repaired now, the new owner is going all-out, but like all good things, they take time.
